27 May 2013, Kabul, Afghanistan - Supreme Foundation has recently organized an education campaign in Kabul, providing more than 550 school kits of essential classroom supplies to orphans and disadvantaged children.
The kits were distributed to ‘Tomorrows Hope Foundation’, an orphanage in Kabul; ‘Afghan Action’, a specialized school and training program that helps disadvantaged youth learn how to weave and sell handmade Afghan carpets; and Karwan Elm Educational Centre. In addition to the school kits, Supreme Foundation also purchased classroom supplies for teachers such as English and math text books, multi lingual story books and art materials.
“Many Afghan children are caught in an inescapable spiral of poverty because they are too poor to get a proper education. We believe that today’s learners are tomorrow’s leaders, so we are proud to support the education of children in Afghanistan and offer them the chance of a better life,” said Victoria Frost, Supreme Group’s Director of Communications and Treasurer of Supreme Foundation.
Supreme Group’s employees, business partners and sponsors around the world collected the items which were then flown into Afghanistan and distributed across local schools. Each kit consisted of five books plus
essential stationery items to support the students’ studies for around six months. Supreme Foundation aims to alleviate hardship and improve the health, education and living conditions of disadvantaged children in conflict areas and remote regions around the world where Supreme Group operates. The non-profit organization helps children to develop the skills, knowledge and experience to lead successful, sustainable lives and contribute to their families, communities and countries.
The Foundation has made substantial investments in schools, healthcare facilities, and housing developments in Bosnia, the Ivory Coast and Afghanistan. Supreme Group is a leader in the provision of end-to-end supply
